Assistant Account Executive

Phoenix-based Angell Marketing is an award-winning, full-service agency that provides marketing services, advertising and sales-management consulting for senior living communities across the country. Angell’s client service teams – including its Assistant Account Executives – lead the effort to create lead-generating, lead-nurturing, and awareness-building advertising campaigns to meet the goals of our clients. Our team is committed to serving our clients and dedicated to helping seniors live better in retirement. Collectively, we have deep experience in senior living marketing and creative. And we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and grow with us.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

Client Service Support

  • Support client service team and Account Executives on multiple clients and projects
  • Prepare for and take notes during client calls to translate client needs to internal/creative team
  • Work with digital team to pull reports demonstrating client results
  • Manage client files and records
  • Provide support and coordination for special events, from research to execution and post-event analysis
  • Proofread various documents, press-proofs and materials
  • Manage direct mail lists
  • Manage minor website updates/additions

 

Collaboration

  • Fully understand the roles of each department in the agency and how they best communicate, while supporting campaign preparation, scheduling, execution and performance

 

Communication

  • Communicate regularly with Account Executive on multiple client accounts, providing status updates and approaching deadlines
  • Write creative briefs, agendas, notes and emails
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and external departments such as digital, print, content and design, among others

 

Project Management

  • Responsible for learning and mastering agency processes
  • Request vendor estimates
  • Manage client feedback, flow and tasks through project management system
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Coordinate with Traffic Manager to request schedules/jobs

 

Strategic Planning Support

  • Create charts, maps and lists for annual strategic plans
  • Support leadership team with new business development research, information compilation and proofreading

 

Team Nurturing

  • Approach work with a positive attitude, advocating for teammates and clients alike

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing and Communications, Advertising or related field)
  • 1-2 years advertising agency experience, or relevant onsite marketing experience preferred but not required
  • Computer skills necessary, especially with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising methods and tactics
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Efficient multi-tasking, management of priorities, high attention to detail
  • Well organized, problem-solver and can-do, positive attitude and team player mentality
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on agency and client success
  • Ability to work in Phoenix office (hybrid work-week model)

Graphic Designer

Phoenix-based Angell Marketing is an award-winning, full-service agency that provides marketing services, advertising and sales-management consulting for senior living communities across the country. Angell’s creative team – including its graphic designers – is responsible for executing on all design projects across every media channel to create lead generating, lead-nurturing, and awareness-building advertising campaigns to meet the goals of our clients. Our team is committed to serving our clients and dedicated to helping seniors live better in retirement. Collectively, we have deep experience in senior living marketing and creative. And we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team and grow with us. 

The graphic designer supports Angell Marketing’s creative vision through thoughtful, high-quality design across direct mail, print and digital media as well as branding projects such as logo designs, collateral packages, presentation layouts and more. This role is hands-on and collaborative, requiring a keen eye for detail, strong visual storytelling skills, and a drive to continually elevate the creative product. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated designer who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys working closely with other creatives, client services, and marketing strategists to bring ideas to life. 

 

Functional Responsibilities: 

Creative:

  • Produce polished, original designs for a variety of senior living clients, including direct mail, brochures, print ads, digital assets, email templates, etc.  
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and campaign kick-offs. 
  • Assist with photo selection and editing to enhance visual storytelling 
  • Stay informed on current design trends, marketing best practices, and evolving communication styles for senior audiences 


Collaboration
:

  • Work closely with art directors, copywriters, creative directors and account managers to develop cohesive and effective campaigns 
  • Implement feedback from creative direction and ensure adherence to client brand standards 
  • Communicate clearly with the client services team to understand project goals and deliver designs that meet strategic objectives 
  • Coordinate with printers and vendors to ensure accurate production and timely delivery


Communication
:

  • Present concepts internally and participate in client review sessions when needed 
  • Receive and apply feedback constructively, maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach 
  • Take ownership of project tasks, ensuring clarity on next steps and deadlines 


Team Nurturing:

  • A positive attitude is a must 
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback and constructive criticism 
  • Participate in employee events and celebrations 
  • Volunteer to serve on employee committees 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 
  • 3–5 years of experience as a graphic designer in an agency, in-house, or freelance environment 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud  
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across print and digital design 
  • Understanding of brand identity development and application. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and adapt quickly to shifting priorities 


Preferred Requirements:
 

  • Experience in or enthusiasm for senior living marketing is a plus 
  • Based in Phoenix or ability to travel to the Phoenix office as needed 
  • Certification in Adobe Creative Suite or related design software 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment 


This position reports directly to Angell Marketing’s Senior Creative Director.
